Hi there...
I'm a carnatic vocalist living in the states.....i want to know how i can re-start my performances here and in india. There are no responses in mailiing to sabhas or organisations. How does one go about getting concerts???
I would also like to cut a tape/CD of mine...any suggestions?

Just noticed this above ! One has to be careful with such attitudes, which sometimes typify complete ignorance ( maybe not in the above case ) . I know from personal experience that some of these 'concerts' are simply a popular celluloid song karaoke or sing-along !!

I learnt veena for sometime,itis almost 10 years now,iam not able to play but if i hear about music i go there to hear a lot about that. you all tell so much about music it is nice to see all these. hope i too will start asking so many questions.
