It is interesting to read of Sudha Raganathan's experiences in her interview http://www.kutcheribuzz.com/questionanswer/sudharaghunathan.htm.
Actually reading this leaves me feeling very sad. I wonder how many musicians whose music I love hold views that they will not accompany women: a view Which I find unacceptable.
Perhaps we should know who they are and stop attending their concerts? Perhaps others don't share my views?

Well but then quite a few labels seem to favor femalesonly. A leading male vocalist on US tour last May complained hush-hush that Amudham favors female artistes only...that the only male album from them was paid for by the artiste himself....

Thats not true,
Amutham has released cds by Sriram Gangadharan, TM Krishna, Unnikrishnan, etc
besides, may be female artistes may be more willing to cut out discs who knows.

The non-Krishna album is rumored to be self-paid. :-)
I guess since then Amutham found male voice also pays...:-)
