World's First Tamil Ghazal from Mudhra World's First Tamil Ghazal from Mudhra

According to me performing or listening can be in two aspects. 1) music with only swaras or notes(abstract music) 2) Music with a lyric(composition). When you give importance to the second aspect it is very important that the performer gives apt expression for the lyric and the listener understand the lyric and enjoys music. Imagine performing tamil songs in tamil nadu, kannada songs in Karnataka, Telugu songs in Andhra etc.
This thought is the outcome of Mudhra's World's First Ghazal CDs and Cassettes in tamil written by Cine Play Back singer Dr. P.B.Sreenivos and sung by Sri.O.S.Arun. This was released in Chennai on 15th August 1999 by Mellisai Mannar Viswanathan. I would like to know the opinion of this project from the listeners
