Dotcom -When I heard about this album, I thought - What an unlikely title for Ian Anderson's music, I was not sure of the album. Ah.. but who can predict anything about Tull!
Ian Anderson sings "Punch my name .. I'll be yours , yoursdotcom" with a false sincerity mocking the cyberworld. Interestingly dotcom is this album's most hummable song with its melodic eastern tune
hugged by najma akthar's vocalization. The intro flute section is magically indian.
So that says about this album. Packed with surprises. Heavy eastern influence . Songs like
She bends like a willow evoke a strange exhilaration. Ofcourse this album is marked with
his trademark quirky, often obscure lyrics. I wonder about Hot Mango Flush.
There was this bonus track in this album from his Ian Anderson's solo Record
"Secret Language of Birds". He sings to his lady love," stay with me to learn the secret
language of birds" - who can refuse that?J
Check out his Solo album "Secret Language of Birds", featuring remarkably unplugged , acoustic
Ian Anderson. One song that does everything for me is "Sanctuary".
