How about Arivalagan, Arivoli, Chemmal, Silamban, Naavendan for a boy, and Aadumayil, Anbumoli, Arivumalar, Manimoli, Mayil, Oppilaa, Paavai for a girl?
I left out the meanings so as not to bore you!

I am not able to differentiate Tamil & Sanskrit words. Sanskrit has influenced our language to that extend. Still I am not satisfied with any of the sites that are already there. Even I want a pure second part for my cousin's boy baby. Because the first part has been decided, which is not a pure Tamil word. That's 'RAja'. I thought of giving 'RAja Deepan'. Even Deepam is a derived word. What to do? I am very confused. If anyone could give a nice second past, which starts with 'kA', I would be very happy. Please...

To all friends participating in this discussion,
It is very nice to see so many people evincing keen interest
to christen their wards with Tamil words. I wish them all good. But pls take sometime this evening at your home to ponder over this issue: What are you going to achieve by just giving a Tamil name? Won't it be frivolous for a boy or a girl speak in English or more horribly in Taminglish ?Are you going to bring up this child feeding it with all the wretched Tamil film music , lyricised with disgusting Taminglish words?
All you young people have a marvelous opportunity to bring up your children in a way for which they would be grateful to and be proud of you later. Bring them up speaking pure Tamil; Let them have the pure joy of listening to excellent Tamizhisai.(You would be surprised if you explore the vast collection of this musicassetes /CDs ) You have to do nothing else to make them cultured.
Why not make a beginning this day itself?
