Heard about the claims of Muslims and Christians that their scriptures are built on intricate mathematical patterns based on number 19 & 7 respectively? They claim no human authored book can contain such patterns. Here I present a selection of 133 patterns based on number se7en from Kural (see: http://www.geocities.com/nvkashraf/mm/mm-sum.htm). Chapter details will appear at this site later
(http://www.geocities.com/nvkashraf/mm/mm-cont.htm). I would appreciate your doubts and comments to help me develop on this further.

Thank you Vanchinathan for your comments.
You said: "As an ex-mathematician I can tell you how hurt
Mathematicians would be to call your findings Mathematics"
But it was NOT meant to be a contribution to mathematics! How can that be?
Please read the Purpose of that exercise and the few paragraphs in the
beginning and IMPORTANTLY, read also my Conclusions in the end.
As you rightly said: "Please tell me a number less than 10, and any religious book of 100+ pages and I can prove that number is greatly significant in that book"
That is what I have done. Just to answer Muslim and Christian claims of amazing numerical patterns in Quran and Bible.
You should read the Muslim and Christian claims (just click to the links I have provided) and you will realize that such an elaborate work (with convincing explanations) is necessary from my side to meet their challenges.

Ashraf: A thousand apologies. I misunderstood you totally. I should have read your reason why you embarked on this project. The links to other religious sites bringing proof of mathematical structure in their scriptures was at best 'valinthu poruL tharuvathu'.
Let me make a U-turn.
I congratulate you for your efforts. You've mastered their game of 'finding non-existent hidden meanings' in sacred texts.
It would be an amusing exercise to render E.V.R.'s ("periyaar") sayings "kadavuLaik kaRpiththavan muttAL, parappiyavan ayOkkiyan blah blah "(I've to go to T nagar bus terminus, there is a statue of him with his exact sayings)
into a kavithai with magical seven appearing everywhere.
Contrubutions in multiples of US $ 7 are welcome to support me in this project;-)
Shall I write them in 7 line aasiriyappa or in 7-line pahROdai veNpA? I'll go by the majority of the first seven replies on this matter.
Title for the work would be "kaNviziththezu" ('awake') which has seven letters and also has 'ezhu'(7) in it!
It will be a clarion call to the masses to get released from the tyrannical clutches of religion and Gods.
The project will start once I receive contributions totalling US$ 1001 (= 7 X 11 X 13).

Vanchinathan,
Your will understand my intention better when you read this Counter Challenge of mine to Submitters (the founders of Math. Mirac. in Quran) to their Challenge to produce a verse like BISMILLA with its alleged mathematical nature!

NVK Ashraf,
I have difficulty in reading the document. Thunaivan font has been installed still the page does not display properly in netscape. Not even the buggy netscape 6.0 but my trusty old communicator 4.7
Please edit the html source and substitute
ThunaivanTSC with a full list of tscii fonts.
Thanks.

There are two options to still make it readable in Netscape (I am also using Netscape 4.7!)
(i) Click View, select CHARACTER SET and Choose USER DEFINED
and/or
(ii) Click Edit, select PREFERENCES and Click FONTS.....
- Then choose USER DEFINED in "For Encoding"
- "Thunaivan" font in "Variable width font"
You must be done now!
If it still doesn't work, I have to do something.

Ashraf,
That does indeed work. But the problem in Ravi's browser may be that it defaults to Western European encoding. Thought the default encdoing for my browser is set to be "User Defined", your page somehow tricks the browser into selecting Western European encoding. However I force the browser to select User Defined encoding and I can read your pages. (To do this experiment, I uninstalled the Thunaivan font from my system.)
Ravi, if you continue having problems, can you e-mail me? My e-mail address should be on the TSCII tools pages. Thanks,

R.S
In MS Explorer 4.0 the "western"encoding needs
to be the default.
Whereas in 5.0 or 5.5 its' "user defined"

Well, sorted the problem out.
I had installed the thunaivan font not the thunaivantsc font. In the thunaivan website the table calls the non tscii font thunaivan but the font thunaivanTSC is called TSCII. That is what confused me. Now I am able to read the thirukkural page of Ashraf.
Still it is a good idea for Ashraf to include all the known tscii fonts as alternates in the font tag, that way most people will be able to read it on their first visit even if they dont have thunaivanTSC installed.
I have not read the page, but seeing the exchange between Vanchi and NVKA, I already feel I'll agree with NVKA! I remember reading an article in the Skeptical Enquirer where the author shows any number of "cosmic significance" can be "manufactured" out of random choice of any five numbers! He took some random things like his shoe size, diameter of his bicycle wheel in inches, his door number etc and came up with amazing numbers like 7, 12, 365 etc! And had a tounge in cheek conclusion that the orbit of earth around the sun is controlled by his shoe size! (Should see if the Skeptical Enquirer Magazine and the Society for the Scientific Investigation of the Claims of Paranormal have their web sites up.) It is so long since I read refreshing articles from them. Should find it and bookmark it.
