You can download great Tamil short stories as electronic books from Sulekha.com

In particular there is a story by Sujatha written for Maniratnam's Kannathil Muthamittal.
This is an awesome story that is picturised in a nice fashion by Maniratnam in Kannathil Muthamittal.
