I have my browser setting and encoding set to User Defined and I have Murasu Anjal TSCII fonts and other TSCII fonts too. Still, i have problems reading mainly Mr.Jayamohan's postings in Tamil. I would very much like to know what Mr.Jayamohan says in his postings and i would be thankful if someone could help telling how to read Mr.Jayamohan's postings on the web. May be the Webmaster could please look into this. Thank you very much.

PKS, usually I adjust the view encoding to user defined and try either a inaimathiTSC or inaimathi font for the user defined encoding, and I can usually read everything clean. If I still have difficulty, I open up netscape composer (or notepad should work too) and cut and paste the garbage text. Then I select the text and try the different conversions from the murasu menu. Usually cutting and pasting is sufficient to make sense.

Thank you very much Mr. Ravi Sundaram. I tried cutting and pasting onto Murasu Anjal Editor and I could read it. Thanks.
I think this is one of the things i have to do, if i really want to read all postings, unless our moderators or webmasters try to fix this problem and/or suggest readers what to do to avoid cut and pasting.
Thanks you very much and its very nice of you Mr.RS.

PKSivakumar, the situation right now is a great improvement, believe me. Before the widespread installation of TSC fonts we had to struggle a lot to read all. The webmasters have introduced their own tag TSCII etc. There is just one more battle and then it will be bliss. I'm brazing for the unicode tamil introduction ;-). I'm reminded of an old joke:
Astrologer: "Saturn is in your ninth house. You will have unbearable pain and suffering for the next 7 and a half years."
Patron: "After that?"
Astrologer:" You will get used to the pain and it wont be unbearable anymore."

Dear Mr.Ravi Sundaram,
Thanks for your posting. That reminds me about the e-mail discussion i had sometime back with Mr.Muthu Nedumaran who is a pioneer in Tamil fonts. I asked him about some of the problems TSCII fonts have when using Internet Explorer. He took great pains in explaining the reasons and how hard they are trying to fix it. It seems Microsoft has changed the encoding from IE 5.x and that is the major reason for problems with TSCII fonts it seems. Mr.Muthu Nedumaran told me that they are working on continuously to make Tamil fonts and font standards better. Our appreciation goes to him and others on this field.
I tried using TAB fonts on web and i had no problems so far. Someone told me that TAB fonts are offcially supported by Tamil Nadu Government or something like that. Murasu Anjal supports TAB fonts too.
Thanks.
