I was hoping this thread could serve to expand our Thamizh vocabulary, personally I would benefit a lot from it. For instance, I would like to know the Thamizh equivalent for "irony". |

Most of the words asked here are covered in the tamil thesaurus published by the department of official languages. I have seen the thesaurus for law, medicine, IT. Another good source is the school textbooks given each year, some even include have very good glosories.
