Non-thamizh meaning writers whose mothertongue is not thamizh
but has contributed significantly to thamizh literature.
Names that immediately spring to my mind are the late Poet AthmAnAm and
Dilip Kumar.

M.V.Venkatram (Saurashtrian) is the first name coming to my mind.
Likewise, authors of Tamil origin contributing to literature in other languages are :
Mahakavi ULLoor Parameswara Iyer
Malayatoor Ramakrishnan
(both in Malayalam)
